2015 Happy Feet Was Fun For All Concerned!!

by Anne Hartis, our Service Projects Director and Poet Laureate

After weeks of rains and flood delay
Rotarians could finally gather on a perfect Saturday.
For little feet, smaller feet, sock feet and barefeet
The Shoe Show Staff worked with us to make HAPPY FEET!
There were mostly smiles, some pouts but all thanks galore
While kids chose pink shoes, black shoes, boots and more
Frozen, Batman, Spiderman too,
They chose socks in every color, red, white and blue
Hope we didn't leave too many chocolate chip crumbs on the floor
All kids wre treated to cookies and juice as they left the store.
With help from Wilcox, Wilson, Carter, and Quinn
Both Crowthers, Stalvey, and Gabriel Rob'in
Honest Abe Walters on the checkout, Betty on the foods
Seccomandi has a new career in measuring for shoes
O'Donnell and Ayers were there, Kaminski and Hartis too...
and Camera Pete was first to arrive, loaded with photos to do.
We all had fun and know it was for the best
Beneficial to all, it passed the Rotary Test
So Rotarians and kids stay healthy and safe, we pray
Since very soon we'll be having another Happy Feet Day!!

The 4-Way Test

Is it the truth?

Is it fair to all concerned?

Will it build goodwill and better friendships?

Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
